Some portions of the animation might have numerous edges that take a long time for your processor to process. You really cannot avoid that unless you have any background programs running.

I hold F1 visa and my new job starts on Sept 1. The int'l student office of my current university mistakenly set my OPT start date on May 6. My OPT has been approved and EAD card arrived.
That is, I will have 120-plus "unemployment" days accumulated by early August, which will then violate the "90-day unemployment rule" of OPT.
I am under tremendous pressure and really want to hear your opinions.

Just came across GAO's( General Accountability Office) recommendations to make changes in H-1B program. Eventhough they talk mainly about Staffing Companies and increased employer accountability, there seems to be a mention regarding the H1B extensions beyond 6 years with simultaneous application to green card. Eventhough not stating in exact words, it seems to hint to the congress to seriously relook at H-1B extensions beyond 6years and also regarding cap exempt Visas and supposedly how easy it is to get them. Looks like with the economy being how it is, Congress might use this report to jump in and bring some unfavourable changes. Any thoughts on this...?

Do you need to submit copies of your approved LC or I-140 to support your stay beyond 6 years? I don't see it mentioned in the I-129 application.
And do you say yes or no to the following question (Q.5, Part C of H-1B Data Collection and Filing Fee Exemption Supplement form)?
"Has the beneficiary of this petition been previously granted status as an H1-B nonimmigrant in the past 6 years and not left the United States for more than one year after attaining such status?"
This probably wishes to know whether you have a reason to stay here for more than 6 years. But I don't see anywhere to explain that. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Labor clearance done March 2005; I140 approved 11/11/2007. Filed for I485 08/23/2007.
I am changing my title but staying with the same compnay. I am also changing location. few qs
1. Should I file AC21 due to location change?
2. can i file a new LC for the new job title (Its very very different than what what i did earlier) and carry my PD?

I mean, will it matter if someone applied for 485 on July 30th or August 17th, other than trying for an EAD and AP earlier ?
2. Is there a benefit of applying early in the timeframe, in getting an approved 485 ?
Please respond at your convenience.

I sent my I-485 application to USCIS on July 31, 2007. On their website they logged the following message:
"Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Case received and pending.
On September 24, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case....."
Why is the received date Sep 24, 2007 when the application was most likely received on Aug 1, 2007?
