@Kirupa: Not live tiles, but selection tiles (thumbnails) -- square boxes with text and maybe an image . They are use in panoramic applications instead of a list box.
You should do a video tutorial on creating the different elements of a panoramic app, i.e., the listbox, selection tiles (thumbnails), and a listbox with text+image(on the left). I think the xbox hub is a great example.

Some big compromises in the House version that dropped this morning. First, there will be $2525 in filing fees, $525 of which is due at the outset and $2000 of which is paid five years in to the ten year conditional non-immigrant period. That should presumably answer critics who complain that DREAM will add to the deficity. Also, conditional status is granted in two five year terms and the college education/military service requirements must be met in the first five year term in order to get the extension approved. I can't help but notice that about 1/4 of recently processed audit cases were denied. As it goes now, I'll have to wait about another 6 month for a 75% chance to pass. Well for where the economy is headed right now it all probably won't matter anymore in 6 months.

My I-140 got approved and priority date from EB3 got ported to EB2. I read in one of the forum threads that USCIS system would automatically identify that application is current and appropriate action will be taken. Also, I read about initiating interfile process of existing EB2 I-140 (current) with Pending I-485 application (under EB3). I am not sure whether I should wait few weeks before initiating interfile process.
I have given my biometrics in 2007 while filing I-485. Will USCIS send appointment for Biometrics again ?

My cousin who came here on H4, found a company that sponsored her H1-b and she was working as a consultant to a big firm. She had to return to home country last year, and she had to get her papers stamped - which was denied.
she continues to work for the same firm from India. She has a house in the US, that she has put on market, and continues to pay the mortgage. Does she realistically have a chance of returning to the US on H1-B?

Recently my 140 was filed and the checks were cashed through ACH. I paid for PP and see that the checks were cashed on March 8th. My attorney has not received my receipt, I was wondering if there was anyway I can get the receipt number for the case so I can track it ...

Now that the I-485 gates have been opened, I would like to know what will happen to my spouse's H1B application pending before USCIS? Since I am planning on filing for I-485 for my spouse as well, will the H1B process make a difference? Or will the H1B approval cause any issues to the I-485 application?

Guys,
My company in-house lawyer says that i don't have to file for H1-b right now because I was approved for H1-b before. I only use 3 month of H1-b time and changed the status to F1. Now, the lawyer advise me that we should use all of my OPT time and file for COS for previous H1-B in June starting date of January 2009, when my OPT expires.
My question is
1) Do you think it is a good ideas or just apply April 1st 2008?
2) Does anybody else have/had a similar situation, do you guys mind sharing what you did?
I will really appreciate all you guys.

Due to a sudden demise of my wife's grandmother, my wife had to go to India last week. She is planning to come back by Nov. 15. I received the receipt notices for my wife's I-485, I-131 and I-765. My question is if the fingerprinting notice comes before she arrives and also if it is scheduled prior to her arrival date on Nov. 14; what are the options of rescheduling and can we get the date of our choice after Nov. 14. Also, I would be extremely grateful, if someone could upload a sample fingerprinting notice from USCIS. I couldn't find any where on the site.

please post your experiences regarding recent RFEs for EB2 and EB3 to EB2 conversions. please include details regarding what the RFE was issued for. I am startng this thread because I am hearing different things from different people saying EB2 is being scrutinized more(especially EB3 to EB2 conversions) and this is resulting in more RFEs. I need every body who received RFEs recently to comment on it so that we can arrive at an accurate assessment. I am expecting that EB2 India/ China will continue advancing in the next few months. this will indirectly benefit EB3 India also as there will be unused visa numbers that will overflow into EB3, but the only problem is if applications are scrutinized, then the RFEs may delay processing for many people with earlier PDs even if their date becomes current.

I applied for H -1 extension regular processing in the month of sept 2009 in california service centre before expiration date of my H1-B(2010 Jan 22).I got RFE on DEC 18th asking for client and contractual agreements between client and vendors and i got time til Jan 29th 2010 to reply back to RFE.As i was preparing to collect all the documents to respond to my RFE ,I also applied new H 1 from same existing employer before Jan22nd 2010 in Vermont service centre.I replied back to RFE on jan 27th 2010 with client letters and letters from 2 vendors.
I got my H 1-b extension approved from California service centre on Feb 18th 2010
My question is what if my new H1 filed in vermont service centre gets rejected.Will it cause any problems to the extension that was approved.I already got my h1-b extension approval notice from uscis on FEB 18th 2010.I have'nt heard anything about my new h1 b filed on jan 21 2010 in vermont service centre.Can i continue to work on my approved extension.

i am guessing, your stamped visa (and also I-94 card on your passport) expires feb-2010. Since you have H1B (I797 notice), it should have I-94 attached to it with Feb-2011 date. If not then you need to go out of US , get visa stamped and enter back.
